Midi Health secures $25M backed by GV to build virtual midlife care for women
Explore Midi Health's innovative solutions in women's midlife care, offering personalised, holistic, and insurance-covered interventions.
Midi Health, a startup, has secured a substantial investment of $25 million, led by GV, formerly Google Ventures, to expand its virtual clinic to deliver comprehensive care for women navigating these hormonal transitions.
Midi Health, since its inception a year ago, exclusively concentrates on women undergoing midlife hormonal transitions. The company is a proponent of evidence-based interventions, encompassing lifestyle coaching, supplements, and prescription medications, all covered by insurance providers.
Every woman using Midi Health receives a personalised care plan, including health history, including any history of breast and other female cancers, genetic risk factors, ethnicity, and race. These care plans are holistic, amalgamating hormonal and non-hormonal prescription medications, behaviour change coaching, evidence-based supplements, and integrative therapy recommendations.
The company, which initially worked in California, is utilising the newly acquired funding to broaden its operations nationwide and to inaugurate additional partnerships with some of the largest hospital systems in the country as well as major U.S. employers. By January 2024, Midi Health aspires to extend its services to all 50 states. The startup is also swiftly augmenting its team of clinicians who are proficient in women’s health.
Midi Health has recently collaborated with Progyny, a leader in fertility benefits, to bring midlife care to employers across the U.S. This collaboration has already garnered the attention and partnership of renowned entities such as Stanford University and ServiceNow, and agreements have been established with healthcare systems clients such as Lifepoint Health.
GV, Alphabet's venture capital arm, has been exploring the menopause space for three years and has deployed almost $150 million in the women's health category. Frédérique Dame, the GV general partner, expressed pride in backing Midi as they modernise perimenopause and menopause care for women everywhere.
